Q.F.T.

QUALITY FILTRATION TEST

Research and years of experience achieved by JU.CLA.S. S.r.l. of Enological Vason Group in the field of filtration has led to the creation of the quality filtration test, a combination of systems for the monitoring and testing of the quality of liquid filtration, in particular for beverages.

Setting as a precondition the clogging of the filter septum, the parameters obtained the filter septum, the parameters obtained by calculation in the following formulas are the FI, MFI andVmax.

IF = T₂ - 2 x T₁       IFM = (T₃ - T₁) – 2 (T₂ - T₁)

Vmax =  (T₂ - T₁) ⁄ [(T₂/V₂) – (T₁/V₁)]

Three models are available with different characteristics:

MASTERMIND Q.F.T.

Is a laboratory tool capable of determining both the filterability indexes on wines and the Fouling Index (SDI) on water: through an accurate weight test. It automatically calculates the most important indexes on wine and on water while controlling the temperature. The core of the instrument is a precision scale developed specifically for this application in partnership with Gibertini Elettronica Srl, leading global manufacturer of precision weighing instruments.

Q.F.T. TOUCH

This instrument is capable of automatically calculting the filterability index (IF), the Modified Filterability (V max); the results, highly repetitive for the elevated degree of standardization permitted by the instrument itself, are then visulized on a LED monitor display and stored on a USB memory stick (not included).

Q.F.T.M.

 This is a manual system that uses the formulas described above to calculate the essential parameters for assessing the quality of wine filtration on a filtering septum.
OBJECTIVES
  • to reach better understanding of the state of the wine to help in the choice of the best filtration system to be adopted
  • to check the results after the filtration of wines
  • to check the clogging effect of utility water
  • considerable cost-effectiveness, thanks to a better control system of all filtration and regeneration procedures of the filters
